Anchors aweigh! Boyle Software’s annual summer party for staff, clients, and friends is this coming Thursday – and what a night it should be! We’ll be taking a sunset sail on the Hudson aboard the handsome 105′ Schooner America 2.0, departing from its dock at Chelsea Piers on Manhattan’s west side.
The boat is modeled on the first American vessel to win the World Cup back in the mid-1800s:
The Schooner America 2.0 is named for the boat that inspired her. Her hull and rigging are designed after the famous Schooner America, which was built in New York Harbor in 1851 and won the World Cup in Britain that same year. However, America 2.0 is not an exact replica– she is constructed with modern materials, thus 2.0. (Source)
