More productivity volume with AWS Amplify

Developing the typical user management use cases (user registration, confirmation, sign in , forgot password, reset password etc etc etc) in any application is often the bane of many a developers existence. Now, thanks to AWS Amplifiy this can quickly become a thing of the past.

AWS Amplify is a JavaScript library for frontend and mobile developers building cloud-enabled applications. The library is a declarative interface across different categories of operations in order to make common tasks easier to add into your application. The default implementation works with Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources but is designed to be open and pluggable for usage with other cloud services that wish to provide an implementation or custom backends.

Authentication though, is only one of its offerings, it also provides:

  • automatically signed http requests
  • analytics for user sessions, custom attributes or metrics
  • management of user S3 storage
  • caching
  • and other utilities like i18n, Logging and a lightweight Pub Sub called Hub
