National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) in the United States. Started by National Cyber Security Alliance and the Department of Homeland Security in 2003 it was conceived to raise awareness of the importance of cybersecurity.

NCSAM 2019 will emphasize personal accountability. It will stress the importance of taking proactive steps to enhance cybersecurity at home and in the workplace. The message: Own IT. Secure IT. Protect IT. In 2019 the focus will be on citizen privacy, consumer devices, and e-commerce security.

It is important to know how to stay safe online since the internet has become a part of nearly every aspect of our life.

Boyle Software partnered with the Center for Internet Security CIS in order to improve the level of security within the work we do for our clients. Internet security is on our mind every day.

We hope that the NCSAM 2019 will encourage more people to take cybersecurity in their own hands. Looking at your browser’s privacy settings might be good start.
