We would like to salute our client and partner Field Goods! They have just been awarded a $50,000 federal grant to assist in developing the next generation of their innovative platform, using smart technology in new ways to bring together New York state farmers and local Hudson Valley consumers. From Schenectady to Yonkers, Field Goods links the Empire State’s food producers directly into groups of subscribing consumers who each get a weekly mix of local produce, the freshest fruits and vegetables.
New York Senator Chuck Schumer (D) was on hand at a Field Goods’ distribution center in Athens, NY, last week to announce the grant’s award with Field Goods’ founder Donna Williams. Watch the press conference here:
“We believe in what Field Goods is doing to apply disruptive innovation to the food distribution system in our country,” says Matthew Davis, our VP of Operations. “Working on this project gives us a venue to apply our world class team of development talent to this pressing need for building sustainable agriculture.”
As Senator Schumer points out, Field Goods is being looked to as a great example for a new wave of agricultural innovation. And Boyle Software is excited to contribute in a substantial way!
