Scavenging for the Holidays
Last week, Boyle Software’s New York City staff and friends celebrated the holiday season with a chilly-but-raucous scavenger hunt through the narrow streets and avenues of Greenwich Village.
Following a course laid out in the “Secrets of Greenwich Village Scavenger Hunt” by Watson Adventures, three intrepid teams of clue-hunters spread out over the West Village to discover new spots and encounter little-known tidbits of Village history. Did you know that Mark Twain wrote most of THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER within a couple of blocks of Washington Square? Have you seen the Cafe Wha? where Jimi Hendrix was discovered? Do you know the place where Bob Dylan wrote “Blowin’ In The Wind”?* All this and much, much more was learned over the course of the 90-minute hunt. Continue reading

TechTalk: SuperSolver & iBeacon Technology
Big thanks to Rungson Samroengraja of SuperSolver who delivered a great TechTalk last week! Rungson – pictured at center here, alongside his SuperSolver colleagues and their Basic6 partners – covered the whirlwind development of SuperSolver over the last year as well as giving attendees an interesting peek into features the much-buzzed-about start-up is looking to add in the coming months.
UP NEXT: TechTalk – SuperSolver
The next in Boyle Software’s series of TechTalks will be a look at the technology behind SuperSolver, a recently developed and released free app that allows for unprecedented and anonymous communication between consumers and businesses. “SuperSolver is part of the new category of shopper apps [that] may be the retailers’ best tool yet,” wrote Forbes magazine in a piece from this past January, “Customers can use shopper apps to discover what’s in the store. SuperSolver acts like a butler; it is unobtrusive yet helpful.”
