I had the privilege of attending several events at the Fast Company Innovation Festival – held here in New York City last week – and my hat is off to FC for a job really well done! Sessions ran smoothly and on-time; well-curated panels were packed with interesting discussions; and the Convene space in midtown Manhattan proved an excellent, impressive venue.
While the Festival boasted plenty of of star speakers – Jessica Alba, Derek Jeter, Mario Batali, and Kate Hudson, among others, were all there to discuss their various business ventures – the topics and content of the smaller panels was consistently strong and compelling. Of particular interest were Thursday’s sessions on “Humanizing Blockchain: How the Virtual Currency Tech Can Change the World IRL” and “The Future of Work: Why You Should be Investing in Artificial Intelligence.” The session moderators kept the discussions relevant and brisk – masterfully handled.
The Convene space, just east of Grand Central Station in midtown, provided a well-organized and comfortable “Hub” for the Festival. I am already looking forward to registering for 2018!
