I had a fantastic first trip to Kiev last week! It was a short but productive visit to the bustling, booming capital of Ukraine. What a thrill to visit this vibrant city – so full of life, even in February. Between meetings I was able to spend a few short hours exploring the city, ducking into gorgeous churches under golden domes and even visiting Maidan Nezalezhnosti – “Independence Square” – the city’s central plaza made so famous in recent years.
New York City is even more magical during the holidays – the steadfast Empire State Building reflecting the colors of December’s festivities from every angle. Boyle Software colleagues, clients, family, and friends gathered at The Storehouse on bustling 23rd Street last night to make merry and unwind in good company.
Between the beers, hot toddies, sliders, and mozzarella sticks, it was great to spend a couple of hours appreciating the people with whom we share so many waking hours.
On Friday evening, July 28th, a good number of Boyle Software’s New York City team gathered at Mia Chef Gelato in Manhattan to share some time and beverages together – and to learn how to make some delicious and refreshing gelato! Chef Jason walked us through the ingredients and science behind the popular Italian ice cream – including the use of the $25,000 Carpigiani gelato machine!
We had a great time last week at our annual summer party for Boyle Software staff, family, and friends. Though some ominous clouds rolled in and a few drops of rain were felt, our sunset sailing excursion on the Hudson was a success all around. The sun did make an appearance, beaming its red and orange glow beneath the cloud cover as it sank behind the New Jersey horizon!
Anchors aweigh! Boyle Software’s annual summer party for staff, clients, and friends is this coming Thursday – and what a night it should be! We’ll be taking a sunset sail on the Hudson aboard the handsome 105′ Schooner America 2.0, departing from its dock at Chelsea Piers on Manhattan’s west side.
The torrential rains cleared out of NYC just in time for the annual Boyle Software summer party – phew! A great time was had by all – wonderful to spend a non-work evening chatting with co-workers, family, friends, and clients. A special thanks goes out to The Lonesome Prairie Dogs for keeping the music swingin’ – yeehaw!
Last week, Boyle Software’s New York City staff and friends celebrated the holiday season with a chilly-but-raucous scavenger hunt through the narrow streets and avenues of Greenwich Village.
Following a course laid out in the “Secrets of Greenwich Village Scavenger Hunt” by Watson Adventures, three intrepid teams of clue-hunters spread out over the West Village to discover new spots and encounter little-known tidbits of Village history. Did you know that Mark Twain wrote most of THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER within a couple of blocks of Washington Square? Have you seen the Cafe Wha? where Jimi Hendrix was discovered? Do you know the place where Bob Dylan wrote “Blowin’ In The Wind”?* All this and much, much more was learned over the course of the 90-minute hunt. Continue reading
