We spend a good deal of time touting our work for “bigger” clients – but we take just as much pride in our work for the “smaller” ones. Over the years we have done lots of work for non-profits like NYC Swim and the Byrd Hoffman Water Mill Foundation and we’re pleased to have recently added the Five Boroughs Bicycle Club to our client roster.
It was completely unexpected. Out-of-the-blue I was asked today by one of my co-workers to write a blog post. I thought hard about which new front-end development tools I have been using lately, but couldn’t think of anything that had had a significant impact on my professional life recently. Then I looked at today’s date and I realized that it is my 20-year anniversary here at Boyle Software. These twenty years certainly had a significant impact on my life…
Way back in 2012, Lady Gaga tweeted, “why do people look at me like I’m crazy when i use coupons at grocery or try bargaining at retail, IM FROM NEW YORK WHERE IS THE SALE RACK?” Why do people use coupons? I always thought that the only purpose of coupons was saving money. However, since joining Boyle Software’s new creative team working for our client Valassis, I’ve learned that this is not their only the purpose.
RhinoCo Fitness was founded in 2007 with the goal of making fitness more accessible by using connected technology to deliver essential tools, supplements, and training programs to people across the world. In 2010 RhinoCo partnered with Reebok to open the first Reebok Crossfit Gym, which quickly became the highest-grossing retail store for Reebok and a world-renowned fitness center for RhinoCo.
In The Field is a web-based application that allows producers to more easily share information, such as crop availability and desired price, and it makes it possible for Field Goods to manage orders and request specific products. By reducing the costs of managing the supply chain and increasing transparency, this new tool lets Field Goods continue to partner with a broad range of local producers even as they scale up the business.
In short, this new application helps Field Goods multiply their impact on the local economy. [Source]

We had a great time last week at our annual summer party for Boyle Software staff, family, and friends. Though some ominous clouds rolled in and a few drops of rain were felt, our sunset sailing excursion on the Hudson was a success all around. The sun did make an appearance, beaming its red and orange glow beneath the cloud cover as it sank behind the New Jersey horizon!
